Bail Bondsmen

A bail bondsman is a person who acts as the security for the payment for someone else's bail. The bail bondsman needs to know a lot about bail so that he or she can explain it to a client. When authorities suspect people of crimes and arrest them, it is legal to keep them in jail until the court holds their trials. The courts are legally bound to get them to trial as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, criminals have so bound the court systems that a speedy trial is often impossible. To prevent presumably innocent people from having to sit in jail while they wait for trial, courts often set bail for the accused.

When accused people cannot afford to pay the bail, they contact a bail bondsman to act as a surety for the bond. A good bail bondsman does whatever he or she can do to get the accused out of jail quickly. The accused may ask friends or family members to contact the bail bondsman on their behalf. A very good friend or a special loved one may contact the bail bondsman for their incarcerated friend. If such a third party contracts with the bail bondsman, then the third party is responsible to the bail bondsman if the accused does not appear in court for trial or any court dates.

The bail bondsman charges a premium that is usually ten percent of the amount of the bond. The bail bondsman does not refund this premium when the court exonerates the bail, even if the accused makes all of the court dates and gets an innocent verdict. The premium is simply what the bail bondsman charges for the service of becoming a surety to the court for bond. A good place to get bail is at 1stClassBailBonds.com.
